WHAT TO EXPECT

Atmosphere

Our desire at Kinston First Pentecostal Holiness Church is to make sure all our guests feel at home.

The ushers and greeters are ready to give directions or answer any questions you may have. If you have children, you’ll want to take advantage of our children’s services designed just for them.

As you enter the main sanctuary, our ushers will welcome you and help you find a seat.

You will also experience friendly people, powerful praise and worship music, relevant messages and intercessory prayer, in a comfortable environment.  We want to make sure that you feel as welcome as possible.

A Typical Service

Services begin with announcements to let you know what is happening around Kinston First. The announcements are followed by prayer and congregational and choir worship songs.

From time to time Musical Specials are often presented by the Kinston First Choir and special singers. An invitation to participate in offerings is then given to those in the sanctuary and for those watching on-line.  (As a visitor you will not be asked or expected to give an offering. You are our guest!)  After the offering, Pastor Brian (or a guest speaker) will give a message designed to help you apply biblical principles to everyday life. This message will be about 30 minutes in length. At the end of the message there will be a closing song and also the opportunity for people to come to the altar and pray. Also at the altar at this time an intercessory prayer with Church Elders is also offered for those who would like to be anointed and prayed for. Our altar is opened to anyone who would like to come and pray during this time.

At Kinston First, we want you to feel comfortable and come as you are. In case you are wondering, most people wear business-casual attire and you will also see a few suits and ties, as well as people wearing jeans. God sees our heart, and that’s what He cares about; it’s not about the style of clothing we choose.
